The essence of the working process of the gantry hydraulic press is the conversion of "hydraulic energy → mechanical energy". The molding process is completed by precisely controlling the pressure and displacement. The specific steps are as follows:
Start and preparation: switch on the power supply, start the hydraulic pump, and the hydraulic oil enters the main oil circuit through the oil filter; check whether the mold is installed firmly, and clean the impurities on the surface of the table and the slider (avoid scratching the mold).
Fast downward movement of the slider: the electromagnetic reversing valve is powered on, the upper chamber of the main cylinder enters oil, and the lower chamber returns oil to the oil tank. The slider drops rapidly under the action of its own weight and oil pressure, and switches to slow speed before approaching the workpiece to avoid impact.
Press forming: After the slider contacts the workpiece, the system pressure gradually increases, the main cylinder continues to feed oil, and the piston pushes the slider to apply pressure to the workpiece (up to thousands of tons). According to the process requirements, the pressure is maintained during the pressure holding phase,
Ensure that the material is sufficiently deformed (e. g., stamped, stretched) or cured (e. g., powder metallurgy).
Return (slide block rising): After the pressure holding is completed, the reversing valve switches, the lower chamber of the main cylinder enters oil, the upper chamber returns oil, and the slide block quickly rises to the initial position under the action of oil pressure (automatically decelerates when approaching the upper limit, Avoid collision with the upper beam).
Pick-up and reset: after the slider is back in place, the finished workpiece is removed from the mold manually or by auxiliary equipment (such as pneumatic pusher) to complete a single production cycle.
